Where are you located?
I am located in Red Bank, NJ (approximately 1 hr. south of Manhattan).

Do you only shoot weddings in the metro-NY area?
No. On occasion I travel to different parts of the country and abroad.

How do you conduct interviews?
I conduct interviews regularly — by appointment only. Please call or email! I show portfolios in Red Bank, NJ, about an hour south of Manhattan.

What is your style?
My style is best described as artistic photojournalism. I work unobtrusively, capturing the emotion, beauty and details of your celebration. More information on my style is available in the photographer section of this web site.

What is your background?
I received a degree in photography from Rochester Institute of Technology and began my career in NYC as a freelance assistant to fashion and interior photographers. I initiated my own business in 1991, continuing to work in the commercial field for fashion magazines, catalogues and greeting card companies. At the request of a friend, (an artistic director looking for something unique for her own celebration), I began shooting weddings. I thoroughly enjoyed documenting the occasion and found that I had something new to offer in my photojournalistic approach. I truly love what I do and continue to grow artistically with each engagement.

Currently I am a member of PPA (Professional Photographers of America), attending trade shows and workshops in the US. I also make a point to seek out vendors who carry exquisite and unique work that I can share with my clients. I am co-founder and member of a tremendous network of fellow women wedding photographs from the metro-NY area. What started as a referral pool, has evolved into a wonderful support group that has been meeting regularly for 5 years. Members share a similar style, approach and enthusiasm and further each other's knowledge of the rapidly changing and exciting field.

What type of equipment do you use?
Thérèse and company use 35 mm cameras in both digital and film formats, allowing for the best of both worlds. You receive at least 700 high quality, hard-copy 4x6 proofs, no matter which package you choose. Thérèse also offers proofs online and digitally designed, magazine style albums as part of her custom packages.

What are your fees?
Please call the studio for pricing. All packages are customized to suit your wedding occasion. Thérèse Marie Wagner Photography offers a range of photography services from engagement portraits to full-day wedding coverage. Images are delivered in proof form. Beautifully-crafted archival products are also available. These include, but are not limited to, master prints and customized albums bound in leather or silk. Please contact Thérèse to arrange a portfolio viewing and discuss your wedding in detail.

How far in advance are you booked?
Customarily, 1 year in advance.

How do we book you?
A deposit of 1/3 of your fee.

Do you only shoot weddings?
No. My business is a combination of weddings, portraiture and special events. Recently, I've had the pleasure of photographing babies, (often those of former wedding clients)! In addition, I continue to shoot commercially on a limited basis and am always open to new opportunities.
