Dominique and Robert had an exquisite day at the beautiful Ashford Estate part of The Weddings of Distinction collection of venues. Meandering up the evergreen lined drive you arrive at the magnificent estate and are transported almost to another time. Karen at Magnolia Event Design knew how to accentuate that old world beauty with her gorgeous floral designs opting for lush roses, cherry blossoms, moroccan lanterns, and lace accents. Stephanie Somodi of Designing the Most Inviting Day echoed that feel with intricate lace laser cut invitations in a shimmery cream.

Dominique herself was an absolute vision in an Eve of Milady gown with floral lace overlay over a blush base and delicatly beaded bodice and an intricate Pnina Tornea veil. Her bridesmaids wore flowing gowns by Watters in a classic merlot. Hot Mess Bridal did an amazing job on all the girls hair and makeup.

The ceremony was held in the beautiful red doored barn on the estate with music by Ceremonious Strings. I loved that the couple incorporated a tree watering tradition featuring a tree clipping that had been handed down for generations. Truly a beautiful ceremony from start to finish. Afterwards the couple explored the lush grounds for a few photographs before being greeted for the cocktail hour by guests.

For the reception the ballroom was transformed with warm amber and purple uplighting by Fennelli Designs adding to the magic of cherry blossoms, lace and candlelight. The couple took their first dance as fog settled on the dance floor. Jeweled table cards and lace laser cut menu cards by Stephanie Somodi added a layer of depth and sophistication. . The fireplace was lit by moroccan style metal lanterns and the tables were set with a rich amber raw silk linens layered with thick cut lace. Merri-Makers Catering crafted a sumptuous menu and are so lovely to work with. A fairy tale day!
